Beyoncé’s "Act II" of her Renaissance album series drops March 29 — more specifically, midnight on streaming services.

While the singer herself said the album is not a country album, her latest project — ”Cowboy Carter” — is country-influenced. Last month, Beyoncé released two singles, “Texas Hold 'Em’” and “16 Carriages,” during a surprise Super Bowl commercial. The two songs shot up the Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart

There’s plenty of anticipation of what this album could sound like.

Here’s what we know:

Why did Beyoncé create the 'Cowboy Carter' album?

In a lengthy Instagram post, Beyoncé shared the process that went into creating this album. She said she is honored to be the first black woman to have the number one single on the Hot Country Songs chart.

According to the artist, the album was five years in the making and was inspired by an experience she had several years ago in which she did not feel welcomed.

Beyoncé is likely referring to the Country Music Awards performance she gave with the polarizing country group, The Chicks (formally known as The Dixie Chicks) in 2016.

The artists collaborated on Beyoncé’s song “Daddy Issues” on her 2016 album “Lemonade.”

The Chicks were blacklisted from the country-music industry for their criticism of the Iraq war in 2003.

Which country artists are featured on Beyoncé's 'Cowboy Carter'?

Based on the tracklist, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Linda Martell, and Willie Nelson are among the featured artists on the album.

Fans have long suspected Beyoncé might collaborate with the Queen of Country, and recently Parton alluded to Knox News, part of the USA TODAY Network, that this might be the case with a sample or cover of her 1973 classic "Jolene."

"Well, I think she has! I think she's recorded 'Jolene,' and I think it's probably gonna be on her country album, which I'm very excited about that," Parton said earlier this month during a one-on-one interview about the season opening of Dollywood.

Rhiannon Giddens, is credited with playing the banjo and viola on “Texas Hold ’Em,” while steel-guitar player Robert Randolph is credited on “16 Carriages.”
