New Blue Bell ice cream flavor combining coffee and chocolate hits shelves across Texas

A classic Blue Bell flavor is joining with java to create a coffee lover's dream pint.

The new ice cream, called Java Jolt, consists of Blue Bell's coffee ice cream, a coffee fudge swirl and dark chocolate chunks. Java Jolt is now available in stores for a limited time.

"Our Coffee Ice Cream is a fan-favorite, so it is the perfect base for our new Java Jolt,” Joe Robertson, Blue Bell executive director of advertising and marketing, said in a statement. “The coffee fudge swirl adds an extra jolt of flavor. And the dark chocolate chunks are a delicious complement to the ice cream."

Java Jolt's release comes on the heels of another new flavor debut. Dr Pepper Float Ice Cream recently hit shelves as a collaboration between Blue Bell and Dr Pepper. The flavor is comprised of vanilla ice cream and a Dr Pepper flavored sherbet.

Blue Bell's headquarters sits roughly two hours from Austin in the small town of Brenham. The company's over 40 ice cream flavors sell in Texas and 22 other states.
